Call me gullible, but I need reality.

I’ve given up on false faces; duality

just doesn’t suit you, you’re lost

to the lies, 'cause you didn’t measure the cost

to our lives.

And can you remember the diamond decay?

How it felt like forever, those last of our days?

Realize that I only sought to believe,

to see in your eyes that your words could relieve

this pain; these days

I’m not needing your morphine--

it may dull the pain,

but it dulls me too.

Then there's the rising bids:

money on who will live

without air, and who will die…

Can you survive this without spitting lies?

My money’s on me, cause I’ll just stay home

do what I always did; I've been alone

before...

though these days I can’t seem to sleep for the fear…

.

Call me gullible,

but I need reality

I’ve given up on false faces;

Duality…

.

.

(it may dull the pain, but it dulls me too)
