Remembrance Eternal

By: Rogue Ronin

Aka Brandi Solheim

I closed my eyes and listened to the wind as it blew gently around me. The breeze carried a familiar feeling from another time, a different place. Slowly, I opened my eyes and gazed softly ahead. I recognized the memory as it was being recreated right in front of me.

I saw our eyes as they locked onto one another. The light I experienced from him was as bright as a new star in the darkest of nights. The warmth I felt radiated from the windows of his soul. Now, as of then, I felt the love between us as it grew and flourished.

At that moment, the faint sound of church bells started to ring. I was so entranced by the memory, I never responded when he called my name. Finally, I snapped out of my daze when I felt someone by my side. I looked over to him for only a moment, then I looked back and saw the brief fantasy as it faded away.

I felt his hand as he took a hold of mine. By his presence alone, I knew I felt how I once did in that particular time and place. One life, one love, eternal.
