i ignore the chaos outside
and close my eyes.
i take a deep breath
and try to drown out the noise.
i'm scared of what may happen
but for now, i try to pretend
that every thing will be okay
and convince myself
that you would stay
but you hold me close
and then push me away
and sometimes, i wish you'd scream
to the whole word
what you really feel
instead of whispering lies
inside my ear.
