Dearest Citizens of Zee,
After a month’s stay on Earth, I have dug up most of what I know about the planet and put it into this simple typed format on these things they have called a “computer”. I’d rather not go into details of what a human computer is like, as it is very much like our Teles back home, although much less advanced, but still useful.
Earth is very much like I thought it would be. The general population of the humans in New York City, New York are generally very kind. I do however, encounter humans of the strange kind who appear to have no dwelling, shouting what I assume to be obscenities while drinking strange foul smelling liquid. I have tasted them myself at what they call a “bar” and it turns out to taste as foul as I assumed it would.
The system that human beings thrive on is what they seem to call capitalism, which I will try to explain to the best of my ability, although I do not quite comprehend it myself. The entire Earth is divided into different pieces of land, which converge into “countries”. These countries give themselves names of different kinds such as America, Puerto Rico, Spain, and others. All of the countries are ruled by a group of humans known as their “government” which the humans themselves get to choose.
Not only that, their system of getting goods or needs is through working hard at these things called “jobs”. Humans work hard at their specific jobs to get these printed sheets of currency they call “money”. Their money entitles them to purchase their different goods and needs. Without it, they could only get commodities that are “free” or that do not need currency, and according to my brief observation, what they call “freebies” are very hard to come by.
Unlike our world that simply invents and distributes goods and needs equally to the entire population of our planet, the humans’ reliance on “money” have also given them many problems. “Jobs” have varying values of currency that they can give to their humans, thus enforcing an unfair balance. People with no “jobs” therefore have no “money” and are forced to be like those poor fellows with no dwellings on the streets drinking foul liquid.
Sadly, I must report that we cannot infiltrate Earth and educate the humans into our ways, thus improving their condition. Some humans are aware of our existence at this very moment, and consider us a threat. They will not rest until we are experimented on, or perhaps obliterated from their planet. I simply know that they will not listen to reason either. Until we can somehow get a good grasp on how we can improve their wholly situation, I suggest we catalogue observations first.
Till then,
Walker.
