longing melody

Oh, sweet little flower
Come back into the soft wind
Why did you forget, ever
Come back into the palm
Of this tiny little hand,
soft and warm

This longing melody
Crying out the tears
I just cannot cry
Again, and again
Always the same words
The same pain
The lonely notes
of this longing melody
(And this piano,
playing in the silence)
I can't hear your voice anymore...

This longing melody
Silently fading
amid the white snow
Purer than my heart
Lost, into the white dream
Why, such loneliness
Silence, and noise
Together in harmony
There's nobody here...

A never-ending dream
And a withered tree
Where is the light,
this melody
I can't hear it, anymore
I can't hear your voice
anymore
Always, the same piano
Playing, in the silence
Amid tears, and noise
In the pure-white silence.
