A/N- Okay, since I’m new, and don’t know what to do, I’m just gonna guess that it’s pretty much the same as fanfiction. Author’s note, but this time, there’s no disclaimer. Let’s hope that’s right.
Sunflower
It sways, just sitting there, getting no stares, no, “oh, that’s beautiful”s, and not even a large enough space to live in.
It sits there, waiting for someone to notice it. It wants to be admired, and watered, and cared about. Even though it was a flower.
Only a flower.
No one cared about flowers anymore.
They were too absorbed in their work, or with school, to notice anything natural, regular, ordinary. Like a flower. A sunflower. Like a stunning, yellow sunflower.
They don’t care like they used to.
They used to water their plants every day, they used to smell the roses, daisies, rhododendrons, and…sunflowers. They used to come out and sit in their yard, reading, sleeping, or watching everything outside. Including the sunflower.
But now that they had jobs, and school, and all of those extra activities, they always stayed inside.
The sunflower stayed out there, though, waiting for them to come outside again.
