A little something I wrote in honor of National Novel Writing Month :)
------------------------------------
Nanowrimo!
Pens fly across paper, fingers frantically dance upon keyboards
Online battlefields, where cries of woe and victory abound
“Writer’s block!” a fellow soldier falls. “My characters are flat!” another one stumbles.
“Keep going!” a standing soldier stops for a while to pull a fallen one to his feet. “You can do it!”
The judgment day is quickly approaching.
Those too far behind sigh in defeat, abandoning their pursuit until next year.
Those ahead pause for a moment, awed by their achievement.
People everywhere, put down your biology homework, your Times magazines, the last version of a paper your boss told you to edit!
And pick up your quills, your laptops, your pencils,
Take out a clean sheet of parchment, open a new word document, find a blank piece of paper!
For it’s November, National Write a Novel Month!
For those who haven’t yet begun, don’t lose heart!
I myself am four thousand words behind, day five was my start!
Go! Go! GO!
It’s Nanowrimo!

A/N: A little something I wrote as a break from my nano :) Yeah, those too far who sigh in defeat and give up? I'm probably gonna be one of 'em n_n" But whatever, it's still fun! I love how I started out so serious and it just degenerated into exclamation marks and peppiness and random stuff. And seriously? I was joking about that paper you have to edit. Go edit it now. Then start your nano! ;D
