i, camera

i, camera see you in my waiting room. behind a little boy with a scraped knee, swearing to god it's broken while your stomach twists in agony and you swear to god it's bleeding

breaking your son's hand, the taste of salt streaming, screaming down your face

i, camera capture every moment of your life

i, camera follow you unknowing, watching your mistakes

keeping track of your credit, legal, and financial blunders

i, camera watch down the barrel

of a once photographer's gun

of a future doctor's turret

of the bottle of an underage-who will stay that way

due to my naivety. to my refusal to accept a younger generation

that believe it or not (for the most part) knows their limitations

and is mind-blowingly more rational than their elders

i, camera drive you insane

i, camera don't let you do a thing

but you think i do. i make you feel good. the best in the world!

i, camera spot you trying to be free

i, camera stop you trying to be free

one nation, under god

just the way our forefathers intended

up high on their rich satin chairs

upon which our nation was founded

right?

wrong

jefferson- atheist

washington- atheist

franklin- atheist

not rich satins.

on my ranch i sit, ruling

both under and on an oil reign which is hardly justifiable

- .w

not a direct quote, but it's close enough

i, camera
