Author’s Note - This was written by Shiko87 in celebration of Trinity's 6th birthday. She had the idea a while ago, and decided to jot it down for me. The first half is actually my writing, taken from my second draft, with her stuff added in the second half. Basically, from the announcement of Harm's solution onwards is her work, and it's a crack-up! Please don't take it seriously, as this is meant to be funny, and I personally adore it! It made my day, so thank you once again Jen!

The Jaid Rabbit–Harmony’s Solution

A Trinity Fanfiction by Jennifer

“I give up! That guy is impossible to track down!” Adrian exclaimed as he arrived home, and fell onto his brown couch with a grunt of frustration.

“Well, what did you expect from a trickster god?” Drifter countered, and Adrian just glared at him. Drifter wasn’t fazed in the slightest. “By the way, it might interest you to know that Harmony’s back,” he added, and Adrian nearly fell off of the couch in his hurry to get up. Just as he was about to go rushing after her, the goddess in question appeared from the bathroom, her hair wrapped in a towel turban and wearing clean clothes.

“Good, you’re here,” Harmony said when she saw him, and Adrian suddenly remembered how they had parted last time. He stopped in his tracks, and wasn’t sure what he should say to her.

Harmony walked up to him, and Adrian gulped as she leant in to whisper into his ear. “The words that you’re looking for would be ‘I’m sorry’,” she said, before pulling away from him and heading towards the three couches, leaving Adrian standing where he was.

“Harmony, I’m-“ he started, spinning around to look at her. She had taken a seat, and looked up at him with a sigh.

“I know you are. But if you ever talk to me like that again, you’ll be in even bigger trouble,” she replied, before patting the empty seat next to her and giving him a smile. As Adrian carefully walked over and took a seat, Harmony turned to Drifter. “Do you know when Luke is coming back?” she asked, but before the demi-god could answer her, the young man in question materialized in the common room.

“Did someone say my name?” Luke asked with a grin, which Harmony returned. Adrian grumbled something from his place on the couch, but no one was paying any attention to him.

“Yes, I did,’ Harmony answered, before unwinding her damp hair and running a brush through her golden tresses. “Take a seat, because there are a few things that we need to discuss,” she added as Luke took a seat next to Drifter.

“Did you want me to leave?” the demi-god asked, making a move to stand, but Harmony waved him down.

“Please, I’d like you to stay. You know more about this than I do, and I could really do with your opinion,” she replied, and with a nod Drifter settled himself once more. Harmony took a breath.

“As you know, the Lower Realm demi-gods gained quite a bit of extra power lately, allowing Loki to be able to manipulate them more than what he should have been able to. This was due to an imbalance in the Trinity, caused by myself and Adrian,” she explained. Drifter glared at the Dark god, but Luke merely raised an eyebrow in curiosity.

“So, you two being together caused everything to happen?” he clarified, and Harmony nodded.

“I’m afraid so,” she answered, and she could feel Adrian fidgeting on the couch next to her. “So I did some thinking. It might be a bit selfish of me, but I’d like to think that we could all have personal relationships without it interfering with everything else. Drifter, I especially want to get your opinion on this, as I really hope that I’ve got it right,” Harmony said, and the demi-god nodded.

“Fire away, kid.”

“Right. Well, I realised that what threw everything out of whack was the fact that Adrian and I were so caught up in each other that we were ignoring you, Luke. The majority of my time was spent with Adrian, leaving you more or less by yourself. Thus, Light was being ignored, whilst Darkness was getting all of the attention, resulting in an offset of the Balance.”

“That makes sense,” Luke said in agreement, and even Adrian gave a slight nod. “So what have you come up with to solve the problem?” he asked, and Adrian sat forwards slightly, trying to catch the look on Harmony’s face.

The young goddess frowned. “That was the tricky part; finding a way to create our own Balance. We have to see each other all of the time, so simply ending the relationship with Adrian really wasn’t going to be practical,” she said, before turning to the Dark god. “Besides, he wasn’t going to leave me alone,” she added a touch scathingly, and Adrian cringed. “Fortunately, I’ve now come up with a very simple solution that should solve everything.”

All three men leaned forward expectantly, and Harmony closed her eyes and took another deep breath. “The obvious solution, the only way that we can bring balance back to the Trinity is this plan. Therefore--” Harmony suddenly leapt to her feet and spoke in a voice that echoed throughout the realms: “I have decided that Adrian, Luke and myself will participate in... a three-some!”

“What!?” Adrian and Luke yelled in unison while Drifter’s cigarette slipped out of his mouth. Harmony, ignoring them all, plowed on, eyes gazing into the distance.

“The simply reality is I cannot overcome my desire for Adrian, and yet Luke must not under any circumstances be left out! Therefore, starting this night and following into every night, the three of us will sleep together! I, of course, will sleep in the middle position, being the anchor that pulls light and darkness together in every imaginable way!”

“Are you out of your mind!?” Adrian screeched, his voice going several octaves higher than usual. “I thought you loved me, Harmony–”

“I’m doing this for our love, Adrian! I love you and want to be with you, but Luke must not be left out!”

“Harmony,” Luke cut in desperately before Adrian exploded, “It’s fine, really, I don’t mind being left out... in fact, you know, Jaid and I have been making real progress... and I’ve always loved you more as a sister...”

“And I love you as a brother, Luke! That’s why this will be hard,” Harmony said. “But for the good of the world I will force myself to move beyond the sibling bond I share with you–”

“You’re taking this from bad to worse, Harmony,” Drifter said, patting Adrian on the back, trying to make the Dark Aspect remember to breath since his face was currently becoming redder and redder.

“But it won’t even be all that bad,” Harmony insisted. “I mean, as long as I close my eyes I won’t even know if it’s Adrian or Luke at any given moment. Besides, if I have a child then it really will be a perfect blending of light and darkness– why, we could skip a whole generation (and subsequently a whole book) this way and jump right to Rian.”

“I’m not sleeping with LUKE!!” Adrian howled so loudly that the gods in the upper and lower realms heard him (along with a couple of earthlings who promptly put down their fanfiction and listened even more carefully).

“But we’re a team, Adrian!” Harmony moaned. “And once we do it once the next time will be a breeze. And this way, Luke will finally be included.”

“I don’t want to be included that way!” Luke snapped before muttering, more softly, “I’ve just spent the last fifty pages hoping that I can convince Jaid to sleep with me, I won’t have all that work blown on your crackpot idea, damn it!”

“Stop your whining, the both of you!” Harmony snapped, reaching out, grabbing each boy by the collar of their shirt and, with incredible strength, dragging each of them bodily towards the bedroom. “This is what we’re all about! What do you think the title ‘Trinity’ actually implies!”

Drifter, forgotten by the others, picked up the phone and dialed a number, lighting another cigarette as he waited for the phone to be picked up. “Hello, Gemma?” he said. “Yeah, it’s me. I’m just wondering if you’ve decided what our current rating is? Yeah, it’s just that Harmony’s been acting a tad strange–yeah, almost like she’s being controlled by someone else, someone scary-- and I’m pretty certain she’s just blown any chance of our publishing this book as Young Adult fiction clear out of the water.”

Happy Six Year Anniversary Trinity!

(Well? How do you like my solution? Hope you enjoyed it!)
