The snow falls, heavy and cold

Cementing our feet

To earth's icy floor

Before us lies the cottage

As we stand and reminisce

It was a beautiful dream,

We didn't deserve to believe

What freedom would mean.

It was a beautiful dream,

But now ourselves we've deceived,

It really was a pitiful dream,

At the time...

It's hard to believe we're actually

A little somber,

Seeing her in this

Dilapidated state When before,

We could hardly wait, to run away.

It was a beautiful dream,

We didn't deserve to believe

What freedom would mean.

It was a beautiful dream,

But now ourselves we've deceived,

It really was a pitiful dream,

At the time...

We thought we'd bury our secrets

Here when in reality,

The coffin was clear and so,

Everything is openly exposed, obvious

Forever haunting us...

And this cottage sees,

We'll never know

What freedom

Means...
