I will be
one held breath
to circle your lungs
hear the beat in your heart
when I hold my ear
to the shell of our start
what sound is more round
than the sea of our sins
the pupil dream in your eyes
is a mirror held close to my chest
the same place
I lay my head to hear
the throbbing rush of your blood
self-assurance of love
some sort of
lamp
a little djinni to light the labyrinth
never to lose my breath
thereby dim my vision
forgetting the way
