Memories
Author:
Imika PM
This is a poem I wrote when I badly wanted to forget some bad times. And then somehow when I was done, luck turned good on me. A tribute to my 'memories'...and a feeling to my 'regrets'.

Memories

Don't you feel lonely?

Don't you feel unwanted?

Whenever I look at you,

You seem to be a secret no one wants to know

A forgotten past that people don't miss

A path where no one wants to go

Looked from others just as an abyss

My dear memories

Even though you shouldn't be

Like a flower among dead trees

You make me see things I sometimes never want to see

You're the biggest evidence of what's true

A book of my smiles

And also of moments when I'm blue

'Let's get real,' you say

But my reality wants to go on without you

Holding me back, every moment, every day.

Regret

Everytime I see these pages filled with pain

I look for happiness I'll never gain

My mind listens, my heart screams

And now i regret letting myself dream
