Chapter 16: The Meeting
Massimo and Ignacio were surprisingly cooperative and agreed that it was time to meet Abel's friends. Abel just wondered if they knew what they were getting themselves into. Abel was guessing they didn't and that was going to be the fun part.
The drive itself took about 45 minutes, and was silent except for Abel who was giving Massimo directions.
Declan's house was a ranch style home with three bedroom and a modest yard. It was your average house and Abel really didn't care. His friends were waiting inside and he was happy that he was getting ready to see them.
Abel scrambled out of the car as soon as Massimo parked and waited impatiently for them to catch up with him. Once they had Abel jogged over to the door, flinging the door open and jumping onto the couch as well as Winn.
"Abel, you're heavy! Get off," grumbled Winn, wiggling out from under Abel. Abel smirked, tickling Winn's side before completely moving off his friend.
"Sit down," urged Abel, looking at Massimo and Ignacio and patting the couch beside him. Massimo sat down beside Abel while Ignacio took the chair nearby. Once Abel was sure that was taken care of he turned back to Winn. "Where's Declan? We're here and he's not."
"Oh he's here," assured Winn with a smirk, "he's having hot makeup sex with Carmine."
"And you're not in there too?" questioned Abel, raising an eyebrow.
"You know my motto. You never interfere with another dude's makeup sex. Plus, Declan is in master mode," replied Winn, stretching and messing up his black hair. Abel winced and laughed. "Poor Carmine."
"Poor Carmine my ass. You know he can get off just at the thought of Declan dressed in leather and holding a whip," voiced Winn with a cheeky grin, "you just don't like it 'cause you're the dude who likes to be in control in a slightly different way than Declan does."
"And it gets you off," added Abel with a proud smirk. Winn gave an overdramatic sigh and flopped over Abel's lap. "I know. It's a shame that you got souled. A tragedy really."
"I'd be careful. You're going to make his ego bigger than it already is," warned Carmine, walking out in only a pair of loose blue jean and a silver chocker chain around his neck. Abel took a moment to admire Carmine's six-pack before looking into his brown eyes. "Where's Declan?"
"What? I'm not good enough by myself?" questioned Carmine with mock hurt.
"Sshh," voiced Declan, slapping Carmine's ass and sending Abel a smile, "long time no see Babe. You brought friends." Abel nodded; admiring Declan's black leather clad legs and said, "I thought it was time they got to get to know you a little bit better." Declan nodded his agreement fiddling with his oversize navy blue shirt before looking at the two ylikrts. "You hurt him and I don't care how long it takes I'll kill you."
"We have no intentions of hurting him," assured Ignacio, his golden eyes full of sincerity.
"Then what do you plan on doing with him?" questioned Declan, raising an eyebrow. Massimo grinned and pulled Abel closer to him. "We're going to love him and have lots of baby ylikrts."
"And have lots of sex," added Abel, gently elbowing Massimo. Winn burst out laughing and landed a kiss right on Abel's lips. "You think they can keep up with you?"
"I'm sure we'll manage and don't be kissing my soul," said Massimo with a frown. Winn raised an eyebrow and brought his face only inches away from Abel's. Massimo growled warningly, tensing as he kept watchful silver eyes on Winn.
"Knock it off," said Abel, pushing Winn's chest, "we just started getting along. Don't fuck it up."
"Dude! That was faster than expected. Sudden change of heart?" inquired Winn.
"It happens. If I'm stuck with them for the rest of my life why not get along," said Abel, shrugging.
"You'd better have a better reason than that Babe. You deserve to be happy not just settle cause you have to. I'm not giving you away otherwise," stated Declan, moving to plop down on Abel's lap while Carmine silently set on the other side of Winn. Massimo's frown deepened, but remained silent.
"I'll be fine. I can take care of myself. It'll work out," assured Abel, running his fingers through Declan's white and black hair.
"Fine, but if you have problems you know who to call," said Declan, giving Abel a kiss on the forehead before getting up and facing the ylikrts, "I'm giving Abel into your care now. Don't forget my threat." Massimo nodded, relaxing and said, "Abel mentioned having a snowball fight. We didn't have time back at the house, but I'm guessing we have time now."
"You don't want to get them started," warned Carmine with a shake of his head.
"I think I can handle it," said Massimo with a proud smirk.
"I sense a challenge," said Winn with a big grin.
"My heart I think you're getting us into trouble," voiced Ignacio with a soft smile.
"As long as we're in before the hour it'll be fine," assured Massimo, gently kissing Ignacio on the lips, "we'll bundle up tight." Ignacio returned the kiss and stood up, wrapping his arms around Massimo's neck. "You're the first line of our defense then."
"Two ylikrts against us. You don't stand a chance. You've never seen these guys. They get a little carried away," said Carmine, pointing to Winn, Abel, and Declan.
"I told them they didn't stand a chance," stated Abel, smirking.
"We'd better get going then. Ten minutes to set up the forts then its game on," voiced Winn, standing up and racing over to the door where all the coats were hanging on hooks. Everyone followed Winn's lead, grabbing heavy coats, and slipping on boots.
Abel rushed outside, wondering if Angel was doing okay at Mabel's. He stopped for a moment, feeling guilty for his abandonment of his little sister. He'd have to pick her up after he hung out with everyone and make sure he payed extra attention to her this week. He had to find a place to stay at too. He wasn't staying home with his parents and neither was Angel.
"Dude Abel! Get your ass over here. We're building the fort," called Winn, as he shoved snow into a small pile. Abel grinned, shaking off the worry and headed over to help Winn.
Abel and Winn began to build up a fort while Carmine and Declan began to make a pile of snowballs.
"They're not going to get hurt, right?" inquired Winn, glancing at the ylikrts, "I know we've been pretty bitchy, but I don't want them to get hurt. They're yours so they're part of the group now. We don't hurt our own." Abel look at Massimo and Ignacio who were currently in the process of attempting to make their own snow fort though seemed to be having a little trouble. "I think they know their limits. Everything will be fine." Winn nodded, looking relieved before grinning. "Then let's take these bitches out." Abel chuckled and packed the last bit of snow on top of their fort.
"Times up," called Carmine, look towards the ylikrts, "and since we have two new players I will explain the rules. Don't enter or go behind the other's fort. The area in the middle in free game to everyone. You can try to knock down the other's fort with snow only. No tackling it or anything." The last part was said with a pointed look at Winn who just shrugged.
"And since we are such masters when it comes to snow warfare we're going to sacrifice Abel over to the other side to even out the playing field," added Declan, giving Abel a gentle push in the direction of the ylikrts. Abel raised a questioning eyebrow, wondering if this was Declan's strange way of showing his approval. Abel was guessing it was and appreciated it. If his friends and the ylikrts got along then life in the future would go a lot more smoothly than if they didn't.
"Move your ass Abel. We don't got all day," urged Declan, giving Abel another push. Abel gave him the finger and leisurely walked over to his ylikrts only to get a snowball to the head. Abel turned around and glared at Winn who was whistling innocently.
Abel jogged over to the ylikrt's fort and was greeted with a peck on the lips from Massimo. "I expect you can help us win. It'd looked silly for one of the ylikrt princes to be beat in battle whether it's with snow or weapons."
"Guess you'd better do everything I tell you then," said Abel, smirking and nipping at Massimo's neck. "My guess is the easiest way to win is make really big snowball and destroy their fort. After that we can run out and finish them off." Ignacio chuckled, looking at the two, his golden eyes shining playfully. "You sound like a warrior." Abel shrugged, not quite sure how to respond to the compliment. "Let's just build some huge snowballs. You're strength is going to be useful." Massimo and Ignacio nodded, beginning to create snowballs the size of Abel's head while Abel distracted the others with rapid fire of smaller snowballs, occasionally darting out from the fort to battle it out with Winn.
"Abel, my soul, you might want to get out of the way. We're ready to attack," announced Massimo with a chuckle. Abel nodded, flashing his friends a smirk before ducking behind the ylikrt's. What happened next was like a cannon ball smashing into a castle. Abel's friends had built their fort well, but it just couldn't survive against the huge balls of snow for long. Abel grinned when the fort finally collapsed. "The castle has fallen! Attack!" Abel grinned as he watched his friends and his ylikrts meet in the middle of the war and ran to join in on the fun. No one in their particular circle was very good at close combat and soon everyone was wrestling in the snow.
"Take no prisons!" said Winn, aiming a snowball for Ignacio's back before Abel tackled him to the ground. Abel gave Winn a face full of snow and they both started laughing, continuing shoving snow in one another's faces.
"Surrender," shouted Declan from his position next to Massimo. Abel grinned, giving a whoop of victory.
Massimo smiled at his soul, and walked planting a passionate kiss on his lips. Winn gave a whistle and shouted suggestions of what they should do next.
"It seems like everything is going to work out," murmured Ignacio, walking over to Abel and Massimo, "but let's get instead. I'm freezing." Everyone agreed it was getting cold and they headed inside to warm up and get something hot to drink.
I'm back. :) I'm not for sure how I feel about this chapter. I feel like my characters aren't very stable to most readers and that they keep jumping around which I'm trying not to do as much, but it's hard and I'm forgetful about things. This is really how I imagine the three to work out. I intend for them to be happy together. I'm just sometimes having trouble in keeping them there. I'm going to reread over what I've written so hopefully I can get better about this. Hope you enjoyed.
