Dreaming instead of living,

Instead of feeling

Just submitting to

The vortex, allowing

It to draw me into

Oblivion

Losing sight, losing self

Giving pieces, part away

Like they’re nothing

And I wonder why I’m angry,

Wonder why I’m sad;

While I watch myself

Light the fire and watch

My dreams go up in smoke

Oh yes, I’m going down:

Down in flames

And I look around and

Wonder why it feels

Like Hell.
