In those precious

after-sleep moments

I lay paralyzed

by your side

Gently succumbing

to the utter calm

of waking up content.

The night before

I lay there comfy in your clothes

And when you left to

puff poison

I muffled cries into your pillow

Because I knew happiness

didn't matter when I had to leave

Utopia.

Your tiny breaths reminded me of

the seagulls sighing on the shores

And though I loved the feel of you

I missed home more.

Parted after crashing cacophonous

Collaborations

Fluttering 'what-ifs'

still haunt.
