Doctor Who – Dreams

Scene 1:

The doctor is in the Tardis sleeping.

Scene 2:

Doctor sitting in a darkly lit room watching a girl sleep. Girl wakes up from her dream, panting. She looks at her clock (11:30pm).

Girl:

(Said to the Doctor without realising it)

Good thing it’s not real.

Doctor:

I’m sorry…

Doctor fades away.

Scene 3:

Doctor in the Tardis wakes up and runs out into a school playground. The same girl runs up to him and hugs him.

Girl:

Doctor! I’ve been waiting for you. What took you so long? You said 8:30am it’s now 9:00, keep to the schedule.

Doctor takes out his sonic screwdriver and starts probing the girl.

Girl:

It’s not in me yet. You should know. You’re going have to kill it, and the only way is by killing me. Can you do that?

Doctor:

No. There has to be another way.

Girl:

It will kill everyone, so you must. All you have to do is shoot me with Zinc bullet. Could you make ---?

Doctor:

I said no!

Girl:

Well that’s great. You know the way she’s gonna kill me will hurt way more? Well I’d prefer to be shot. I would do it myself but I can’t only you can.

Doctor:

Come with me.

Doctor runs into the Tardis and the girl follows. Doctor waits for the girl to get use to the idea of it being so big on the inside. The girl looks at the Doctor, waiting him to do something. She looks at her watch (9:20am) Then she realises what he’s doing.

Girl:

I’m already used to it. Dreams, remember?

Doctor:

Oh…right.

Scene 4:

Flash back of Rose, then Martha, then Donna. The girl is in a class room and just woke up from a daydream. The bell goes and everyone starts packing up. She looks at the clock (3:00pm).

Scene 5:

Girl and the Doctor walking down a street.

Girl:

Why won’t you do it?

Doctor:

I was thinking and I think I’ve found a way. What if we trick it into believing it’s in you and then… (trails off)

Girl:

So how do you suppose to do that in less than (looks at a clock (7:14pm)) 4 hours?

Doctor:

Why didn’t you tell me earlier?

Girl:

Well I didn’t know you were actually real until I dreamt this episode

Doctor:

Episode?

Girl:

Yes episode. I dream it like I’m watching it on the T.V. I see extra things that you didn’t get to see. Like when Jenny was created, at the end when you left I saw her wake up and now she’s time lording too.

Doctor:

Jenny’s alive? I wonder why I haven’t seen her around, maybe… (Shakes his head) we have to get back to the matter at hand.

Girl:

Well how do you suppose we trick her?

Doctor:

Well I was thinking if we trick it to reproduce then maybe…

Girl:

Ok great! Where are we going to find a guy…

Doctor:

Nixen-Sung. Well our problem lies there. It just so happens that they don’t need males, they just need a mass amount of another species, i.e humans to create a new generation.

Girl:

Great…how does tricking it to reproduce help us? Well all we have to do is find a new planet and they can evolve or die depending on their resilience.

Scene 6:

The girl running out of the Tardis. Doctor follows out into a new planet.

Girl:

It’s coming. (Screams in pain)

Girl (Alien):

Correction, I’ve come. (Pause, looks at the doctor) You aren’t going to shot me are you? You can’t. Ha, I knew I was right in choosing you.

Doctor:

I’m the only one left. You had to choose me.

Girl (Alien):

(Laughs)You’re not the only one who can travel in time. I could’ve gone to a time before that war and chosen some other silly Time Lord, but I’ve chosen you and all the more fun it is. You can’t kill the thing I’m in, you poor, poor boy, how heroic you are.

Doctor pulls out a gun. Finds a bullet in his jacket, makes a point about putting it in the gun, and then aims at the girl’s heart.

Girl:

Ooo! I’m so scared the Doctor’s going to kill me

Doctor:

You don’t think I can go through with it?

Girl:

Of course not

Doctor:

(Shoots) Well you were wrong

Scene 7:

Doctor sitting in a darkly lit room watching a girl sleep. Girl wakes up from her dream, panting. She looks at her clock.

Girl:

(Said to the Doctor without realising it)

Good thing it’s not real.

Doctor:

I’m sorry…

Doctor fades away.
