“Grandma?”

“Yes?”

“Tell me a story.”

“Sure! What story would you like, Christy?”

“The one about you and Grandpa and that other guy.”

The old woman’s eyes clouded with grief. “That one?”

“Please?” The little girl asked, her eyes longing.

“Oh well, alright. Now let’s see. It was the summer of 2003 and I had just turned twenty…”
