I guess I entertain the thought

I chew on it like my old spaghetti dinner

A stain soaks into my tongue

I twist my ears to catch your frequency

In seep those static songs

My head has you parade around and scream

Reality has you causing quiet mayhem

Can I trip and fall into your thoughts?

You loped gracefully into mine

A smooth transition, a quick needle prick

In the haystack of my mind

I'm not afraid of the monster in the closet

But my eyes won't fasten, I dream consciously

Never truly awake, never truly asleep
