My perspective shakes as my vision spirals,
The numbers blink red to hypnotize,
But sleep won't come easy tonight.

Pounding, pounding, pounding,
My chest be still, my breath is short,
My skin is ice and my cheeks are wet.

At my side is nothing but the cold,
An empty space longing for warmth,
