Yay, another villanelle! This one is about ten trillion times better than my first one, in my own opinion. It's also 100% fictional, which is very rare for me. Enjoy! :)

I play her grief on guitar strings

Woke up last night to awful news

Don't got the time to nurse this sting

.

Those teary eyes say everything

All I see's a chord to use

I play her grief on guitar strings

.

Through her storm of suffering

Can't stop my soul, can't ditch my muse

Don't got the time to nurse this sting

.

She don't get the lack of comforting

Thinks that I don't sense her cues

I play her grief on guitar strings

.

Her aggravation's heightening

I don my shades to hide those hues

Don't got the time to nurse this sting

.

My baby bird's got broken wings

But this boy was born to sing the blues

I play her grief on guitar strings

Don't got the time to nurse this sting
