Low Romance in Haiku

Our love at first kiss

set us up for a hard fall

swiftly in and out.

Night bright passion flame

consumed all awareness of

morning after burn.

Even in a crowd

of two, we can be locked

out of each other.

You made my glad heart

road kill on the back street of

love; clean up the mess.

I put your breakup

letter in my desk shredder.

Now I feel better.
