Lost to the Winds

As a snowflake, you fall a long way,

Before you are nestled safely among your closest of friends

Through your journey you are changed,

And before you know your place, you know those who fall with you.

You know the fickle manipulative wind

That pulls you with it

You enjoy it's tight embrace

Tantalizing and tempting, it draws you along,

Then one day it decides to push you away.

Emptiness seems your only company,

On your now silent solemn journey

The wind that you thought would hold you through all,

Suddenly lets you fall once again.

Yet you long for its tender choking grasp

-

For the long journey ahead you should know,

To remember, but not long for, what it is that's gone.

Don't forget that when the spark in the wind has died,

That same gust will never be back.

Take notice of those around

Your friends,

The ones that never left.

Realize that you are very far from your destination still.

-

So don't melt away – keep your skin frozen

A snowflake's journey is a long one,

But there's always a glitter 'bout the surface,

Of those that've found their way.

okay so the format totally didn't work......but.......yeah........Review?
