Magical Fairyland

Chapter 1: Found

It was the worst snow storm the town of Crest had ever seen, and a young girl of the age of 5 was lost in the middle of it. Her mother was gone, never to return. Her clothes were thin, and she had little to no chance of surviving. The girl looked around, but nothing was to be seen through the sheet of white snow surrounding her. She began to feel weak and numb with cold. She could see a light. What an odd thing to see. There was no way someone else would be outside at this time, in this storm. But there was someone there. It was a woman, tall and majestic. The light seemed to surround her.

The woman looked at the girl for only a few seconds before picking her up and carrying her inside the light. The young girl didn't even struggle against the woman. Anywhere was better than out here.

The woman carried the girl into a wonderfully warm room. The young girl didn't see anything in the room except for the large bed in the centre, which she was placed on top of, before she fell asleep.

When the girl awoke, she saw another girl, about the same age, looking at her with curiosity. When she saw that she was awake, she immediately spoke in a very high-pitched voice, "Hi! Who are you?"

Before the girl could reply, the woman who found her in the snow storm came into the room. "Amy, that's enough. This poor girl should at least eat something before you make her talk!"

The young girl called Amy hung her head and muttered "Sorry, Mother" before leaving the room. The woman looked at the girl on the bed and said, "I suppose you're hungry?" The girl nodded. "Ok, then" the woman waved her arm, and in an instant, food appeared before the girl. "What's your name?" The woman asked kindly. "Lola," the girl replied.

"Very well then, Lola, my name is Evalina. You are currently in a place called Magical Fairyland. I am the Queen of Fairyland, which consists of Magical Fairyland, Mermaidial Fairyland and Pixical Fairyland. I will take care of you until you are ready to go back to your world. Do you understand?"

The girl name Lola nodded and began to eat. The food tasted delicious. When she had finished, Evalina took her out to another room where Amy was playing. "Amy," Evalina said, "This is Lola, you may play with her until it is time for her to go."

"When will she have to go?" Amy asked.

"I'm not yet sure."

"Ok." Amy sounded happy with that. If her mother wasn't sure, that meant that Lola would be there for at least a week. That was a very good thing.

Evalina left the room. Amy bounced over to Lola. "Wanna play?" She asked. Lola just looked at her, a little too shy to respond. "Oh, come on," Said Amy, beginning to jump up and down, "come on come on come on come on come on come on come on come on come on come on come on!" Lola just looked at her. "Fine, we'll just talk. Where are you from?" Lola still didn't respond. Amy just looked at her sadly, before grinning and saying, "If you begin talking to me, I'll show you some magic." Lola's eyes went wide at this.

"Magic? Really? I was told that there was no such thing as magic."

"Well, there isn't in the human world, and that's where you're from, right?" Lola nodded. Amy smiled, "Watch this." She turned to the room, where a piano sat in a corner. She pointed her finger at the piano, which immediately began to play itself. Amy then turned to the window, pointed her finger at it, and it opened itself. "Awesome, huh?"

"Yeah." Lola said, nodding, too stunned to say anything else. She was staring at the now open window in utter disbelief. She continued to stare when she realised that Amy was speaking again.

"I have wings too, but they haven't fully grown yet, so I can't show you. Maybe Mum'll show you hers." Amy looked excited. "I can't believe she's letting me play with you. I'm hardly allowed to talk to anyone, let alone a stranger from a different world. We are going to have so much fun while you're here."

And they did. Amy showed Lola around the castle, introduced her to all the others who lived in the castle and even showed her around the garden, which was full of plants that Lola was sure didn't exist in the human world. After about a week of having fun and exploring, Evalina came to them and said, "It is time for Lola to return to her world. I have found a good place for her. She will be alright." Amy looked very sad at the news, and so did Lola. She didn't want to leave, but she had to, Evalina had said so. So Lola said goodbye to Amy, who promised that they would meet again sometime, and followed Evalina to a door in the room that she had been sleeping in since arriving.

"When you walk through this door, you will be standing at the door to an orphanage. Knock on the door, they will take care of you," Evalina said.

"Why can't I stay here?"

"Because this isn't your world. You don't belong here." Lola began to cry as she walked through the door and knocked on the one she was now facing. A woman answered the door, and after taking one look at the young girl, crying on the steps, she picked her up and took her in without question.

The Fairyqueen watched her go sadly. She had grown to quite like the girl, but, it was like Amy had said, they were sure to meet again, sometime.
