I Never Thought I'd Stand for This
These are the pieces
held together with lies,
promising myself that I'm alright.
Truth be told, I'm falling apart,
and either no one is noticing
or they just can't be bothered.
I am scavenging scraps of attention
knowing full well that I'm not even wanted.
Hiding my tears, my shaking hands,
hiding the disaster I know I am.
