The Veil
Fluttering fabric sways, so fine.
Try to tear my eyes away but
I can't.
Why does beauty haunt me so?
Torment me a little each
day?
A little laughter you just smile.
Pretty eyes, look this
way;
just once is all I ask.
I couldn't ask for anymore.
You're all smiles when
you're not tired, jittery, waiting.
For the hand to hit the eight.
Time goes much too fast.
Slow down tireless hand.
If I pull your battery can I
stop time?
Rewind?
Pause for just a
second?
Then we can go back to
normal.
Different.
Normal.
Only if you say
yes.
Come let's remove
the veil.
