The Looking Glass Is Foggy- Preview
"Oh, kitty! What have you done now?"
Alice stood, her arms crossed and her black hair flowing over her shoulder. The little black kitten only stared up at her, tangled in Alice's ball of wool she used for knitting, which was now only a tangled mess. Alice untangled the mischievous kitten, and begun to ravel the ball up again.
"You better teach your kittens to behave, Dinah. I won't be here tomorrow to look after them." She said to the older cat, although it was perfectly obviously that the cats didn't understand her.
Alice spoke a lot to her cats, but only when she wasn't preoccupied with speaking to herself. She never really had grown up from childhood: She still didn't know when to hold her tongue, even though she was turning seventeen soon enough.
"Dinah, do you know where my daddy's taking me tomorrow? He's taking me hunting! I'm so excited. He's going to pick me up from school, so I can't really change out of my uniform. But it's going to be exciting! I haven't gone rabbit hunting for awhile." Alice spoke on and on.
She never really got anything done, and always was in trouble at school for daydreaming. She went to a Girl's Private school, and so she never really had many friends, since she dressed as different as possible without violating the dress code. With her school outfit, she wore leather gloves she never removed, and two leggings, one dotted and one striped. She was an odd child, but was perfectly content with this.
Her father picked her up from school the following day, and they went hunting for snow hares, since the snow had freshly fallen that night. Alice had her shotgun close to her side, and she walked in almost all silence.
Suddenly, she saw her prey: A white rabbit was running by, quite quickly. Alice raised her gun and pointed it at the rabbit. With a loud bang, the rabbit when falling to the ground, being shot in the leg. Alice whooped, and ran to see her kill.
To her surprise, the rabbit got up when she approached it like it wasn't hurt at all, and it started to run. Alice chased after it.
"Oh dear! Wait!" She yelled after it.
She chased after it through the forest, until she saw the rabbit crawl into a rabbit hole.
"It's not quite that small… I'm sure I could get in their. It's not nice to leave a rabbit wounded; I want it for dinner anyways! Daddy would be so proud." Alice said to herself as she pushed through the rabbit hole.
"Besides, it's not if it's dangerous to just crawl through a little rabbit hole. What could possibly- OH NO!"
Alice screamed as she suddenly started falling, down, down the rabbit hole. Things passed her as she fell, there were many clocks floating. There were floating tables and everything. Alice let out a huge scream as the floor came closer. She closed her eyes for impact… but only to realize that she wasn't landing. She opened her eyes to feel herself slowly floating to the ground. When she touched the ground, she held her head.
"What a fall! So strange… where am I?"
