I am boy crazy. I am also a writer. The two come together for an autobiographical, true account of my various encounters with guys I find to be quite fetching... Or vice versa. A series of one shots.

Chapter Thirteen: The Fictionpress Story that Wasn't
As a young lass stricken with the bitch of a disease called Crohn's, I've had my fair share of complications. Some typical, such as a lowered immune system and flare ups. Some kinda typical but not quite as common, such as migratory arthritis. And some just downright cruel.
Now, I had such a complication as the third on one bright Friday. It was so serious, I had to go into the ER for blood testing and a CAT scan. I wasn't in much pain (that was all on Thursday), but I was exhausted, a bit worried, and wishing I was at school using a blowtorch on a crème brulee.
My nurse was a friendly woman about my mother's age, who made small talk and put me at ease. Luckily, I'd gotten into a room pretty quickly after triage and my doctor would soon be seeing me. I had come to terms with the fact that I'd probably not get a woman, and I was almost always more comfortable with a woman doctor.
So when that knock came on the door, and my doctor waltzed in, I cast my eyes up to heaven and asked God why he gave me the smoking hot male doctor this time.
When he introduced himself, I discovered his first name was Hunter. Of course! I cried to the heavens. I'm in a fictionpress story! This is so a classic Fictionpress doctor story! Only instead of some sexy ER visit reason, like a broken arm or maybe even a concussion, I had a burst abscess on my butt, and we were afraid the infection could get into my blood and I had to get a CAT scan to make sure I didn't have any others in my intestinal track.
Yeah. Thanks, universe. Of course, Dr. Hunter was married and probably like forty, but that didn't diminish the fact that he was one of the most handsome men I'd seen in a very long time. Too bad he had to swab my abscess. I wouldn't wish that on anybody. The swabbing or being swabbed. That nonsense hurt.
Author's Note: This actually happened yesterday. I am fine, for the most part, but I'm still hurting, and we discovered I have anemia and I have to go to all my doctors again next week to make sure I'm okay. Dr. Hunter was super nice, if totally smoking. Poor guy, I felt kinda sorry for him, even in the midst of my humiliation and pain.
