it rained sun drops and they fell
into my meadow green eyes that
you told me have never shone
brighter before.

i've unintentionally began mis-
placing and replacing memories.
i shared more than just my poetry,
i gave you a glimpse at my heart
and soul, and you said it was
beautiful.

it rained hail and i found wonder-
ment that i felt so warm looking
into your icy blue eyes as your arms
wrapped around me.

we were tightly entwined as we
lied beneath a blanket of stars. you
handed me pieces of your story,
that you hadn't told to many, and
i promised to keep them in my
pocket.

happiness is only real when shared.
