Desire Blossoms Fear

Heat explodes inside
my stem, my centre radiates.
A sun burst of bright yellow
petals dance around me.

I follow you with my eyes,
blooming gold in the sun.
Is this disguised destruction
hidden by my own delusions?

I open up and reach
for the rising dawn,
whole again.
