"I can change,"
The cliché line that is said
Only in books and movies.
I speak it out loud
In a last attempt to reason with him.
"What can you change?"
He says in disgust.
"You can't change your
Lonely,
Pathetic,
Cold-hearted,
Evil soul."
He draws out the adjectives
For greater emphasis.
As if he needs to.
Each words stabs my heart
Like a knife.
What have I done to deserve this?
"I love you,"
I plead.
But he just turns away
And walks out of my life forever.
I honestly don't know where this came from. I wrote this a while ago and found it on my computer. Oh well. :)
