This is a poem I hadn't completed. Decided to go back and finish it, although now I think it has a different feel than when I first wrote it. Thanks for any reviews. thenewzerov

Imagine a faintly shining light,

That sweeps the land on a cloudy night,

And casts a ray of hope to one,

Whose journey has left him where he had begun.

As before, as much as I now care,

The easier it is for my heart to tear,

I know you love me, with all your heart,

But I begin to doubt, the longer we're apart.

You're faithful, you're honest, and yes, you're true

But even the honest can tell it's thru;

It only takes words to break a heart,

And it's even easier, the longer we're apart.

And now I'm left, where I had begun,

On a cloudy night, with hope for none,

With a ray of faintly shining light,

Showing the way to love's next blight.
