a lyrical piece. It would probably work better if I read it aloud, but try to fit in your own tones and inflictions.

The albatross is flying

Far away from me

Soaring through the night air

And it dives into the sea

The wolves are on the prowl

Searching for their souls

Raise your voice and howl with them

On and on tie will roll

The horses are like thunder

Crashing through the sky

Hooves rattle across the land

As they charge on yet again

Men are on the battlefield

Blood and gunfire serenade

Many met their end today

The vultures descend on their prey

The world is ending now

All our time is up

They saw it coming

And they didn't warn us

They were here before us

And here they will stay

Long ago our fathers came

And now we are all gone
