Cold blistering winter
winds
freezing my heart solid
Blood once warm and red
now is
icy and blue
Snowflakes surrounding my
being
floating freely in the air
whiteness blinding me
making
the path invisible
Winter lasting only a few months
yet
ends up causing so much damage
Neighborhoods heavily coated with
crystallized water
displaying beautiful scenery
Head warmed from cozy headgear
Body
surrounded by a big puffy coat
Hands covered with thick
gloves
Feet embraced by water resistant shoes
Drinking hot chocolate during a
frosty morning
body temperature rising
always wanting to return
back to sleep
but are not given the option
All exposed skin being frozen by the
air
breath exhaled as water vapor
losing all feelings in my
limbs
becoming unresponsive and inactive
Winter, the season of beauty and loneliness
