Bittersweet Lullaby
My mind broke to pieces:
thoughts swirl in a tornado
her screeches drive me mad.
I found comfort in the midst of insanity
by burying myself into the cool
comfort of the wreckage of my psyche.
I couldn't breathe because
it catches in my throat,
chest tightens so the pressure builds
close to an explosion..
And then I caught my breath
the tornado freezes
she has gone mute.
Can I grow in here also?
