Polarity
Author:
Orloxian PM
When I penned this, I was looking ahead at another stress-filled patch of life. Behind me was a similar hurdle that I had already cleared. This poem is about the perspectives we take, and I have injected my Christian beliefs into the topic.

Polarity

Hush a moment
Listen,
Whispers in the wind
Murmurs of the waters
That melody of sorrow
Or is it mirth?

Stand a moment
Look,
Leaves on a journey
Crests of the breakers,
Waving farewell
Or in recognition?

Stay a moment
Wait,
As the storm draws closer
And the thunder booms,
Dreadful harbingers
Or wondrous beauty?

Now think a moment
Carefully,
Tossing in the seas
Alone on the plains,
A hopeless scenario
Or a chance for grace to abound?
