If I Stop Smiling
You are absolutely one hundred percent wrong
about me being happy all of the time. Sometimes
I am not as strong and smart as you think I am
and expect for me to be everyday. Sometimes
I can be depressed and feel I am going nowhere
with my life because I can't succeed at anything.
I would rather have God test my faith than feel nothing
at all and be numb for the rest of my life. I wonder if
I stop smiling, will you see the sadness and anger that lies
behind my eyes threatening to break me apart piece by
piece. Will you cry realizing your joy in which is me has
died?. Will you frown realizing life is not a fairy tale because
I am not smiling?. I am very deeply sorry for your loss in
which has been your pride and joy, me.
