Servant of the Lord 11/05/2008
I lie and listen to the whisper
The whisper that blows in the wind
The air begins to grow crisper
As I dwell on the countless times I've sinned
The whisper begins to form a voice
The air is cold, but the voice is warm
It says that I have a choice
That a relationship I may form
To form with who, I ask
It is I, your Father in Heaven
You must perform but one task
Love me as I love you, your Father in Heaven
You love me? How can that be?
Look at all these sins I've done.
I forgive and set you free
If you just simply ask of me my son
I surrender my life to you
For I can not do this alone
I know your love for me is true
For my sins you do atone
I welcome you home my son
I will guide you to freedom
I will love you from rising to seting sun.
All evil I have saved you from
Now that you live for me
And in your heart you are true
I am going to use thee
Many good things you will do.
Lord, I am your hands and feet
Move me to your heart's will
With you I fear no defeat
For when you speak, life stands still
