Trapped behind the glass
Forced to watch the world pass by
Free to leave at any time
Paying penance for no crime
The tears of shadows fall
Silent screams fill the sky
As they wander through his hall
Heard by none, one sees them all
Day breaks yet again
But he sees only night
The world is still turning
He blinks, stars reappear
Sleep turns to dreaming
Dreams turn to nightmare
He dreams
The world is burning
