The Bright Lady
Where she went, gold proceeded,
joyous, a herald of her arrival.
The sunset in her eyes
once made the world shine,
but then she turned away,
moved past.
Her bright rush
stunned the world, who,
addicted to her fire,
forgot all color.
Where she went, grey followed,
forlorn, a lover awaiting her return.
