In a difficult time of my life
I was gratefully thrown a life raft
Something that saved me
The waves could toss
And the signs could shift
My existence could change
But I had my savior

The thought of losing grip of
Something so vital
Is heartbreaking
And I have visited the brink
Of such a dilemma
To have it ripped
And tossed
And thrown to oblivion
With no sure sign
Of its stability and condition.
What a horrible thought

My grip stayed firm though
And I have saved the raft
From puncture and harm

Still we float
On
And On
We survive
Together
As
One
