Murder

Serial killer murder. Really depressing, I know. But I like it. It's not too descriptive. Just sad. Doesn't rhyme.

The darkness draws nearer,

Obsidian sky,

Silent streets.

Everything has closed for the night,

You're heading,

For home.

But then you feel something inside of you,

Telling you,

Something.

Foolishly, you shake your head,

And push it,

Aside.

Then a small movement catches your eye,

In the murky,

Alleyway.

A glint of metal halts your tread,

You turn,

Your head.

And you slowly come to realize,

Something strange,

And awful.

Yours are not the only footsteps,

That breach,

The serenity.

Your heartbeat quickens,

Pounding loud,

But slowly.

Coal-black eyes are watching you,

Intently,

With purpose.

And just then, a figure emerges,

From the shroud,

Of darkness.

Your throat becomes tight and constricted,

You cannot,

Breath.

And the metal becomes clearer,

It is,

A knife.

You are completely paralyzed,

You cannot,

Move.

And he comes closer to you,

And you,

Feel pain.

It spreads to your arms and your head,

And you fall,

To the ground.

It feels like the fire running through your veins,

Burning you,

From the inside.

Swallowing you up so that,

You cannot feel,

Your limbs.

You try to scream one last time,

But it's,

No use.

You cannot speak, but, no matter,

There's no one,

To hear.

And then you close your blazing eyes,

You want it,

To stop.

And you get your wish,

And it all,

Goes black.

And he straightens up,

Wipes his hands,

And smiles.
