Chapter 1
Ten years, it's been ten years since that day, when those hanyous killed them, fifteen year old Mizu Godia thought to herself as she sat down on the plane that would be departing for Japan soon. Mizu pulled out her phone and turned It off before she got in trouble, in the black screen she looked at herself, her short hair, though with long bangs to cover her icy-blue eyes, brown with blue highlights.
"Hey Mizu can you move please I can't sit by the window if your sitting before I do… Hello Mizu," the eleven year-old said as she waved her hand in front of Mizu's face.
"Oh sorry Tenkuu," Mizu said coming out of her thoughts and back to reality, Mizu took a good look at her younger sister.
Tenkuu had mid-back length platinum blond hair, oval shaped glasses over her light blue eyes. "What are you staring at?"
"Nothing, sis."
"M-Mizu… I-I need to sit next to T-Tenkuu…" the shyest one in the family said, it was Dobutsu, his slightly long hair in his face, looking at his feet with his deep beautiful brown eyes.
"Fine by me, I mean I would rather sit next to Netsui anyway," walking to the middle section next to her twin brother Netsui and sat down, still in the aisle. Mizu looked at her twin, he looked a lot like her but slight differences, Netsui's hair was almost exactly the same, but he had red highlights, and his eyes were a amber color, but looked almost red, in some lights. "What do you want baka?" oh yea and Netsui is the most unsociable of the entire family.
"well Dobutsu wanted to sit next to Tenkuu and well I have to sit next to you because Tsuchi wants to sit with the twins, so your stuck with me."
"Some times I wonder if we're really twins, or if it was just a joke mom and dad said to us."
"Will you guys stop bickering, your interrupting the safety speech," the eldest, Tsuchi, said. His Olive green eyes glaring at us through his thick rimmed rectangular glasses, his short brown hair sticking up. Tsuchi was the perfectionist of the family as well as the eldest, he usually was the 'parent' he took care of us when the Godia parents died.
"Hello and welcome to American-international airlines, today we will be flying to Japan, Tokyo to be exact, I will be your stewardess this fine day, if any of you are sleepy feel free to sleep now to make the time go faster," at this Mizu looked over at her younger siblings to see them already asleep. Five minutes later or so, the rest of the family was as well.
"Watashi wa ketsujō, īwake," the stewardess said, Mizu woke up and stood up too fast.(Excuse me, miss)
"Ano… Hijō ni, arigatō."(Thank you very much)
"Anata no kangei" (your welcome)
Mizu got her luggage and went to find her family that left her in the plane, because they couldn't wait for her, "why does this always happen to me, and I'm the only one that can both read and speak Japanese in family so how are they gonna find anything."
"RELEASE ME YOU HANYOU!!!"
Mizu heard in English, to the right of her. Hanyou? Wait maybe it's the same thing that… I have to go see, Mizu then strapped her backpack to her back and ran to her left, hoping to find that person. Mizu ran over by the bullet train station to see people running away screaming 'it, it must have rabies!!!' in Japanese.
She than saw the beast, it was about the size of a great Dane, though other than that it looked nothing like one, it's tail was long and thin, much like a panther, in fact it looked a lot like one, in it's mouth was a hand, and a teenager, about the same age as Mizu, was the owner of that hand, his long hair, going to his mid-back was in a ponytail, it was a deep purple color. The boy backed out of the train, the hanyou was still holding the hand in it's mouth, all if a sudden the train doors closed, and the hanyou released the boys hand and tried to get out of the door to chase the boy. The train sped off and the head of the hanyou hit the cement wall, knocking it clear off.
The head landed by Mizu's foot, and though it looked like an animal in the eyes of the head was the look of human fear, then it slowly turned into a human head, it was the head of a little girl with blond curls to her ears. Mizu backed away, eyes wide. The boy walked up to her and was saying something in Japanese but she wasn't listening, the boy then grabbed the head and threw it onto the tracks.
"Crap, now this girl is gonna tell the police," the boy said in English.
"I won't tell anyone, I promise." Mizu walked up to the boy, "My name is Mizu Godia, I just got off the plane but I can't find my brothers and sisters, could you help me?"
"Yea…oh and I'm Esper Maki, and I'm supposed to escort you and your family to the place you will live at, which is why I'm here."
"Thanks," the two then walked around to the airport looking for the others, eventual Mizu found Tenkuu in a bathroom, and Esper found the rest of the family waiting outside the airport.
"I thought that Bakemono was picking us up," Tsuchi said irritable.
"Yes he was supposed to, but we had a lot of vistors at the temple today so he didn't have the time, where as for me the airport is on my way home from school, so now that we're done with that lets go I have cram school tonight."
The Godias and Esper then walked back to Airport Terminal and took the train for about 15 minutes and then walked to the most beautiful temple the Godias have ever seen.
"Oh Esper did you get…" an elder boy said, he also had long hair that was pulled back into a ponytail, and deep brown, almost black, eyes, he looked about 17,also he was wearing a komodo, "I see, are you the Godia family?"
"Why yes," Tenkuu said walking up to him and introduced the entire family.
"What temple is this?" Netsui asked.
"Oh you didn't tell them Nii-chan?" Bakemono asked, his younger brother.
"I gotta go, bye see you later." Esper said running out of the temple.
"This is Zojoji Temple, Let me show you to your rooms."
