Orange Twilight

The stores close down and lock up
And I get a cup of orange soda
Pour me a heavy dose of atmosphere
Cuz I'll doze off safe and soundly
But I'll miss how you're caffeine-free
It tastes the same, but I wish so much
This Sunkist was really Crush!

I'll watch the night turn light blue
Though I have nothing to do
So I'll just try to sit here quietly
Sugar rushes aren't so bad
'Till I look at my hands and feel sad
Cuz the space between my fingers
Is right where you fit perfectly

I'll get my fix in new ways
Though I haven't slept in two days
Cuz this caffeine thrills me to the bone
But drenched in orange twilight
I'll run around the house all night
But still in thought because
When I think of you, I don't feel so alone

As much as I love Sunkist
To replace Crush would be remiss

"Don't forget the orange soda!"

Not my best parody, but the writing was fun. Also, I don't care that the first two lines don't rhyme.
