"How can I forget?" A tear rolled gently down his shivering cheeks. Wiping it off with a few blinks, he continued with a sad soft grin on his face

"You had that weird polka dot handbag which I thought had caught AIDS..."

A soft broken up gasping laughter like an unexpected laughter through tears came through the other line.

"I still have it in my closet..."

"Take it out for me will you. At least now..."

There was a break in conversation and he looked around. 'They' were not there, only other people, crounching like he was, depressed, angered, angitated and remorseful like he was. The helicopter sound blurred the voice that came back on the line.

"Why didn't you ask me sooner...why Kenny...WHY?!" came the agitated voice from the other line again, this time accompanied by tearful gasps and suction of nose.

"Because I was planning to come home and have dinner at Le Meridian Chateau rooftops and present you with it..."

The tears, sneezes, suction of nose and gasping of cries grew louder at the other end of the line for a while but returned back to normal after a while. At that time he saw one of them walk towards him. His heart dropped as the bearded guy with a loose white robe looked at him for a while, but he turned away and Kenny's heart beat paced back to normal.

"I'm sorry Leisha, I never knew things turned out the way they did..."

"Don't say that Kenny...(Sneeze), you will come back and we will see each other at Le Meridian,"

"Yes we will, baby" said Kenny, leaning on the wall at one corner of the room floor and grasping the phone tighter with both his hands.

"I miss you, Leisha"

"(Sneeze) I miss you too. I'm sorry I said that you were bad in bed that day...I was just angry,"

"Who said you weren't?"

Again a gasping sad unexpected laughter came through the other line, this time shorter.

"Why did you ran away, Kenny? For the small things I said?"

"We needed time apart baby. And my job gave me the oppotunity at the right moment..."

"You call this right moment, Kenny? Running away from me? The one who loves you the most? Now of all times?"

"Well that was then baby...(another teat rolled down his cheeks), I never knew this would happen,"

She looked at the TV, it was some dumb shyt advertisement giving news a break, OF ALL TIMES!

"Whats happening now there Kenny? Have the police done anything?"

"What can the police do...they have not asked anything nor have they warned them of anything,"

"Why are they doing this? WHY YOU BABY?! WHY NOW?!!" a sudden outburst of tension and frustration came from the other line. Kenny could imagine the same fair skinned figure with puppy eyed black irises looking at the phone in anger, which would have seem cute instead of angry.

"Don't be angry Leisha, God has his ways,"

"I thought you didn't believe in God,"

"I was being a believer for you,"

"Well don't be, I didn't love you because of God. I love you because of my heart alone,"

Kenny silently placed the phone on his lap, layed his head on his elbow while crouching and cried silently for a few seconds then picked up the phone again.

"I can't find the reasons of leaving you, so clear to me the day I left you, now,"

"Because I was bad in bed," it was Kenny's turned who made the gasping unexpected laughter accompanied by tears.

"HEY YOU! I SAID NO PHONES! GODS BE GREAT I HAVEN'T KILLED YOU YET! DON'T FORCE ME TO KILL YOU OR ANYONE OF YOU!" shouted the beared man looking straight at Kenny with intense blood shot red eyes of anger.

Kenny dropped the phone in a shocked reflex action but could hear shoutings from the phone, part of it was 'BABY', 'KENNY' and 'PLEASE NO' accompanied by tears

This time the bearded guy came with an ak-47 strapped around his body.

He grumbled arabic if Kenny guessed correctly as he marched with displeasure towards Kenny.

"You are not smart, chinky. Not smart at all!" he lifted the rifle and pulled the trigger...

A gunshot ringed across the room and gasps of fear came when the echo of gunshot lowered down but Kenny...well Kenny became stagnant and frozen...
