A/N ~ I'm frustrated with this poem because I couldn't put the element of hope in it that I wanted to. The hope is that in separating from a "bad" relationship or merely withdrawing, recognizing that a problem is too much for you, you are creating the possibility for new patterns to arise or for other saviors to come along. The world is bigger than the two people in the relationship. And there is more than just one person we are responsible to, including ourselves.
I'm posting it however because it does convey a situation that isn't always easy to recognize when it is happing to you.
