When I got to bed at night,
Blowing out my candle light
I wonder what lurks beneath my bed.
There are monsters, according to what I've read.
They are big and blue,
Often wearing wide green shoes.
But like my sister tells me
Monsters are as scary as can be!
They like to eat little children for brunch
And their favorite toys, they eat for lunch
And if you see them you better run
Cause monsters will squash you, they weigh a ton!
I hear them talking in the night
They plot how to give me a fright!
But I won't be scared you see,
Cause I've got my teddy bear with me!
This is only my second children's poem. I'm not too sure how this came out, I think the rhyme seems very forced. Any suggestions will be appreciated!! Reviews will be returned. Thanks!
