Missing You
Author:
Prince Claudio PM
A little poem about missing someone with all five of your senses. It was a challenge by an office mate. I hope you all enjoy it.

I thought I saw your face

Through the sheets of rain

Drops glistening like diamonds

On your soft skin

I thought I felt your touch

In the dead of night

The dim light paling further

When I see your bright eyes

I thought I smelled your cologne

As I passed by the street

The one that smells like summer

And always made you smile

I thought I heard your laugh

As I watched your favorite show

You would wrap your arms around me

And make me feed you popped corn

I thought I tasted your kiss

When his lips brushed against mine

He didn't hold me the same way

And I could only see your face

Now I am home in our empty house

Everyone tells me to leave, move on

But I can't leave this place

And I go on, missing you.
