Familiar Stranger

Have I met you somewhere before?
Perhaps it was a dream,
but I am so sure that your eyes,
I've seen before.
They were comforting,
they held me when I cried.
Yet I am still unsure,
of what it is that I feel.

It is our first meeting,
I'm sure.
Yet there is something there,
something that I cannot explain.
You are just a stranger to me,
but I long to see you again,
for I must unlock the secrets,
that haunt me ever so.

Were you a lover?
I cannot know.
Were you an enemy?
I doubt very much so.
All I know is that,
you flood my mind,
you are the most,
familiar stranger.
