The clock keeps ticking

Pay it no heed

And lie to me

Say we have all the time in the world

Its face keeps on staring

Ignore it and laugh

We're doing all we can for now

It goes on relentlessly

And uncaring metronome

It taunts us

Turn away; let me hear you say

Those words just one more time

The clock keeps ticking

Pay it no heed

And lie to me
