Chapter 2
The two men looked real serious about taking him with them but Brian seemed to just ignore them.
"Sorry guys but I've got to get going. Maybe some other time." he said walking around them.
He didn't know it 'till it hit him, one of them had hit him right on the back of his head causing him to get knocked out. The woman screamed as she saw the brawny one pick him up but the skinny one got in her way.
"You saw nothing you hear me?" he said with a stern voice.
She nodded and closed the door not wanting to get hit like Brian did. He must have been out for at least thirty minutes before he started coming around. He noticed that he couldn't move his hands and that he couldn't see either, they had put a bag over his head. He felt the car come to a stop and then the door beside him opened and the same guy that knocked him out took the bag off his head.
"Get a move on." he demanded pulling him out of the car.
They were in front of a house, it was two stories tall and had two small ponds on both sides outside of the house. He looked around to see where he was but he had never seen this place before. They both kept nudging him along and kept telling him to walk faster and quite frankly it was getting on his nerves. He kept wiggling his hands to try and get the ropes-that tied his hands together- loose. They both opened the door to the house and stepped to the side to let him in.
Once he was inside they both walked in and closed the doors behind them. He saw tons of old artifacts laying around inside, tons of old pots with ancient Japanese symbols and lettering on it. He could hear something coming from the hallway to the left where he was standing but he couldn't see who it was. Then there was a voice coming from the same hallway.
"Did you bring what I asked."
It sounded like a girl and as the figure got more clearer he could see it was a girl. Her black hair was tied back and she had the strangest eyes he had ever seen ,they were red instead of the usual blue or green or hazel. She looked to be Brian's age -nineteen-. She was curvy and skinny and had nicely developed.
"Yes, he is right here."
She looked at Brian and he couldn't help but look back her eyes almost pierced his own soul.
"Hm interesting." she said stepping closer to him.
She placed a finger under his chin forcing him to look back into those half shut eyes of hers.
"Perfect yes he will do quite nicely."
She stepped back and faced him.
"My name is Yuki Tanaro."
"That's great can I go now." he said turning around but the two brutes stopped him and when he turned back around Yuki pushing him down to his knees. She then placed two fingers onto his forehead and closed her eyes.
"What are you doing?"
But then his head got fuzzy and he closed his eyes also.
Yuki was floating in a completely white room -which symbolized Brian's purity- and in the room were three doors and above them three words. The one to the left said "Past", the one in the middle said "Present" and the one on the left side said "Future". These doors represented Brian's life and how it would turn out in the end. The one entitled "Past intrigued her the most so she put her hand on the doorknob and turned it forcing the door open.
She was standing in a child's playroom filled with different toys of all sorts and sitting on the floor was a little boy with brown hair and blue eyes. She knew it was Brian and the woman that walked into the room she knew must be his mother.
"Brian sweetie who are you talking too?" his mom asked.
"My new friend."
But what he pointed to his mother could not see. The scenery began to change and this time Brian was a little older -probably about ten years old- and he was standing in front of a group of children who kept making fun of him.
"Look everyone it's the ghost boy." one of the boys said laughing.
Soon everyone was laughing at him and he balled his hands up by his sides.
"I know what I saw!" he yelled.
This time Yuki was back in the room and the "Past" door closed on her. Next she opened the "Present" door and went in. She was in a hospital and there was a group of doctors pushing a patient down to the emergency room and right behind them was Brian who was nineteen and looked just like he did when they met.
"Mom! Don't worry I'm here for you!" he yelled slowing down.
She watched as he sat on the bench waiting for the doctors to give him the report. It felt like hours before the doctor reappeared.
"How is she? Will she be ok?" Brian asked gripping the doctors jacket.
He shook his head.
"I'm afraid not." he said placing a hand on his shoulder.
"She's passed away Brian I'm sorry."
He let go of his jacket and fell to his knees, tears dripped from his eyes.
"If only I had been quicker I could have saved her. Now she's just like dad, gone."
Yuki then faded back into the white room again and there was only one door left. She walked towards the "Future" door and placed her hand around the knob but instead of opening a shock of electricity came from it and ran through her body. She let go and the door became wrapped in chains with a big lock in the middle.
Yuki opened her eyes and she was back in the house along with Brian who shook his head.
"You….are a very interesting boy." she said with a grin.
